Who operates SewerHub

SewerHub is currently built and operated by an individual, not a registered company. As SewerHub moves out of beta, this may change, and this policy will be updated to reflect it.

What SewerHub collects

SewerHub stores whatever your organization enters into it to do its job. Depending on which modules your organization uses, that can include:

• Account information for each user: name, email or username, and organization membership
• Work records your crew creates: stops, job sheets, CCTV inspection footage and defect notes, vehicle inspections, plant readings, compliance entries (DMR/SSO), storm inlet inspections, time & material sheets, and complaints (which may include a resident's name, address, or complaint details if your staff enters them)
• Location data your organization enters or captures, such as stop addresses, GPS coordinates for "Use My Location," and service-area boundaries
• Files your organization uploads: photos, PDFs, scans, CAD drawings, and CCTV video
• Basic account activity needed to run the app: login sessions, sync status, and an internal activity log of who changed what

SewerHub does not sell this data, and does not use it for advertising.

How your organization's data is kept separate

SewerHub is multi-tenant software: many organizations share the same running application, but each one's data is tagged with an internal organization ID, and the application requires that ID on every data request. In normal use, staff at one organization cannot see another organization's records through the app.

The Contractor Portal (for outside companies you grant limited CCTV access to) uses a completely separate login system from your organization's own user accounts, and only ever exposes the specific videos an administrator has hand-picked.

Where data is stored, and who else sees it

SewerHub runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure (Workers, D1 database, KV, and R2 file storage) rather than on servers this project owns directly. A small number of other outside services are used to make specific features work:

• Resend — sends account emails (registration codes, password resets)
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim — looks up map coordinates for an address you type in; only the address text is sent
• ArcGIS Online (Esri) — supplies the satellite/street map imagery shown on maps; no organization data is sent to it, only map-tile requests

None of these providers are given access to your organization's records beyond what's needed to perform that one function (sending an email, looking up an address, showing a map tile).

Backups and retention

SewerHub automatically backs up each organization's data on a recurring schedule. Backups are kept for 30 days and then deleted. While your organization's account is active, its working data is retained so the application keeps functioning normally.

Not for children

SewerHub is workplace software for municipal and utility crews. It isn't directed at children, and isn't knowingly used to collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

SewerHub is beta software, and this policy may change as the product evolves — for example, as SewerHub moves toward a paid product with a formal business entity behind it. The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
